College of Engineering Technology offers programs that can prepare students to become Engineering Technologists. The programs provide professional training in certain aspects of development and implementation of a respective areas of technology including mechanical, civil, chemical, electrical and manufacturing. Unlike engineering, engineering technology programs offered are more applied and less theoretical. Engineering Technology focuses more on practical application of engineered products. Graduates of Engineering Technology fit with a wide array of industries and areas including product development, manufacturing, technology, operation and maintenance. As stated by Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) that "Engineering and Technology are separated, but intimately related professions".
